The foundation of PHOENIXPLACE is built around the S.H.A.P.E framework where all staff are committed to improving five key areas of development for all our pupils through teaching and learning and alternative opportunities. The five key areas are guiding posts for all stakeholders to reflect on and respond to during a pupil’s time at PHOENIXPLACE.
The areas of development are;
- Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural
- Home Partnerships
- Academic and Enterprise
- Physical & Health
- Emotional Health & Wellbeing
Each pupil will have a S.H.A.P.E profile. Staff will work with pupils to fill in their S.H.A.P.E profiles over their school life, which would be unique to them. Outcomes for each development stage are available for pupils to discuss with staff and pastoral team and the appropriate outcomes for each pupil will be highlighted for them to work towards each year. Other outcomes can be added unique to individual pupils needs and aspirations.
Information and data is added to this profile by pupils and staff from on-going formal and informal discussions with pupils and parents, discussions with external agencies, on-going school data and assessment procedures, observations in class and on internal & external activities
